Lightning Strikes Man’s Foot as He Steps Out of Home, He Miraculously Survives

A Staten Island man is recovering after being struck by lightning while stepping out of his home, with the unusual incident captured on his doorbell camera.
Thomas Fahmy was heading to a dentist appointment when lightning suddenly struck his foot. He described experiencing intense sensations throughout his body, including tingling, numbness, pain, and a burning feeling.

Fahmy was taken to a hospital, where he spent the night undergoing medical examinations. Despite the powerful strike, doctors found no burns or other visible injuries.
“I had multiple body exams, no burns at all,” Fahmy said. After being discharged, he attended church on Sunday to express his gratitude for surviving the incident.

The lightning strike came just days after Fahmy purchased a Mega Millions lottery ticket on Saturday. The unusual coincidence has added another twist to an already extraordinary experience, as Fahmy recovers from what could have been a potentially fatal lightning strike.
