Multiple children and adults were killed in a deadly shooting and house fire at a home in Montana, authorities said Monday. The incident was reported at a residence on White Star Circle, where an initial 911 call reportedly captured the sound of gunshots in the background.
Montana police confirmed that both children and adults were among those killed in the incident. The male suspect also died after apparently suffering a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Interim Yellowstone County Sheriff Kent O’Donnell said during a news conference that investigators have identified everyone involved, including the suspected shooter. However, authorities have not yet released the names of the victims or suspect.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting and fire remain under investigation as law enforcement continues to gather information about the deadly incident.
